This Spanish speaking countries map quiz challenges you to locate all 21 places where Spanish is an official language — a list every Spanish class memorizes and every map quiz player should be able to click blind. Eighteen are in the Americas: Mexico, six Central American countries, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico in the Caribbean, and nine South American nations from Venezuela to Chile and Argentina. The remaining three are the ones that catch people out: Spain itself across the Atlantic, Equatorial Guinea on the west coast of Africa — the only Spanish-speaking country in Africa — and Puerto Rico, a US territory that still makes the classic 21 list. Notice that Brazil (Portuguese) and Belize (English) sit right in the middle of the map but are not targets. Click the named country to score; greens lock in, and two misses trigger an answer reveal.
