Oceania Map Quiz

The Oceania map quiz takes you to the largest ocean on Earth to find its 14 sovereign countries — and it is sneakily one of the hardest regional quizzes here. Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea are generous targets, but the other eleven are island nations scattered across thousands of kilometers of open Pacific: Fiji, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands in Melanesia; Palau, Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, and Kiribati across Micronesia; and Samoa, Tonga, and Tuvalu in Polynesia. Several are so small at map scale that the quiz renders them as clickable dots at their true coordinates — Nauru, for instance, is just 21 square kilometers. The map is centered on the Pacific so nothing gets cut at the date line. Click the named country or dot to score; correct answers lock green and two misses reveal the answer.
