Flags of the World Quiz

Loading interactive map…

This flags of the world quiz shows you one national flag at a time and asks which of four countries it belongs to — 50 flags spanning every inhabited continent. Some rounds are gimmes: the Stars and Stripes, the Union Jack, Japan's red disc, Canada's maple leaf. Then the quiz starts probing the classic confusions that decide every flag game. Can you tell Ireland from Cote d'Ivoire when both are green-white-orange tricolors? Do you know which of the red-white-red bands is Austria and which is Peru's vertical cousin? The Scandinavian crosses (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland), the Slavic tricolors (Russia, Netherlands... wait, that one is not even Slavic), and the pan-African green-yellow-red sets are all in here. Every answer also lights the country up on the world map, so you link flag, name, and location in one move — the way vexillology actually sticks. Wrong picks reveal the right answer instantly, the deck reshuffles every round, and the whole thing is free with no signup.
