US States Map Quiz

The US states map quiz is the classic American geography challenge: all 50 states on one interactive map, shuffled into a new order every round. The coasts are usually safe territory — California, Texas, Florida, and New York have shapes burned into everyone's memory. The quiz is really decided in two regions. First, the interior west and Great Plains, where the rectangular states (Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas) blur together for anyone who did not grow up there. Second, New England, where Vermont and New Hampshire form a mirrored pair and Rhode Island nearly vanishes at national scale. Alaska and Hawaii appear in their standard insets, exactly as on a schoolroom map.
