French Speaking Countries Map Quiz
28 countries · click them on the map · free, no signup
This French speaking countries quiz sends you around the entire globe to find 28 countries where French is an official language — and the first surprise is how little of the list is in Europe. France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the dot of Monaco cover the home continent; after that the map explodes outward. Canada carries the flag in North America, Haiti in the Caribbean, and tiny Vanuatu waves it from the South Pacific. The heart of the quiz, though, is Africa, home to twenty francophone states and most of the world's French speakers: the Sahel band of Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Chad; the West African coast from Guinea and Cote d'Ivoire to Togo and Benin; the Central African bloc of Cameroon, Gabon, the two Congos, and the Central African Republic; Rwanda and Burundi in the east; and the Indian Ocean set of Madagascar, Comoros, Seychelles, plus Djibouti on the Horn. Click the named country to score — greens lock in, two misses trigger a reveal — and small island nations appear as clickable dots. It is perfect drill material for French class and a genuine tour of la Francophonie.
