Brain Battle has five ranked tables. Beginners costs 300 coins to enter and pays 800 to the winner; Advanced is 600 in, 1,500 out. Above that the tables are level-locked: Professionals (900 → 2,500) opens at level 15, Masters (1,200 → 3,500) at level 45, and Legends (1,500 → 4,500) at level 75.
The math is worth internalizing: every table pays roughly 2.5–2.8× the entry. That means you need to win better than about one match in three just to break even. If your win rate at a table is below that, you're paying rent to better players — drop down a rank and rebuild.
The level locks aren't gatekeeping for its own sake; they keep the expensive tables full of experienced players, which is exactly why the jump from Advanced to Professionals feels sharper than the coin difference suggests.
Tactics that actually move your win rate
Round one is for information, not heroics — it's worth the fewest points, so treat it as a warm-up and don't tilt over a miss. Round three at triple points is where matches are decided; protect your focus for it.
On speed: answer fast only when you're sure. The speed bonus rewards conviction, but a fast wrong answer is worse than a slow right one at every point value. The discipline of slowing down by half a second on questions you're 80% sure about wins more matches than any knowledge gain.
Watch the standings between rounds. If you're leading into the final, play conservative and make the chasers gamble. If you're behind, speed is your only lever — take the fast-answer risks, because a safe second place pays the same as a safe fourth: nothing.
