Europe Map Quiz
44 countries · click them on the map · free, no signup
The Europe map quiz asks you to find all 44 European countries on an interactive map, from Iceland in the North Atlantic to Russia stretching off the eastern edge. Western Europe is usually the easy part — France, Spain, Italy, and Germany have shapes most people recognize from school. The real filter is the Balkans: telling Slovenia from Slovakia, placing North Macedonia, and remembering that Montenegro sits between Bosnia and Albania trips up even confident geography fans. Then come the microstates — Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, and Vatican City are so small they appear as clickable dots on the map. Every prompt gives you a country name; click its territory to score. Correct answers lock in green, wrong clicks flash red, and after two misses the quiz shows you the answer so the map sticks in your memory. It is a favorite format for geography classes covering the European continent, and a solid warm-up before tackling the full world map quiz.

Europe map quiz — FAQ
- How many countries are in the Europe map quiz?
- 44 countries — every sovereign European state from Iceland to Russia, including the six microstates (Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, San Marino) and Vatican City, which appear as clickable dots because of their size.
- Which European countries are hardest to find on a map?
- Players miss the Balkans most: Slovenia vs Slovakia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Baltic order (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, north to south) is another common trap.
- Does the quiz include Turkey or Kosovo?
- Turkey is included in our Middle East and Asia map quizzes since most of its territory is Anatolian. Kosovo is not individually mapped in the atlas data we use, so it is not a separate target.
